I come from farm land in the Lower Rio Grande Valley in deep south Texas where many crops are low growing such as radishes and tomatoes.  On the Nolan River modules I had a small crop  where I used black sewing thread dipped in 50%-50% white glue then dipped in fine green turf.  I hung up two or three strands to stiffen and dry.  Once dried I cut lengths to fit the field and spaced them so a tractor would fit as if cultivating weeds or fertilizing.  It turned out so,so and if I do it again I will do a better job and I will probably try variations.
